100 Women in STEM
Help us build India’s most trusted platform celebrating women shaping science, technology, engineering, medicine and innovation.
Every breakthrough begins with someone whose work deserves to be seen. We’re looking for women across STEM whose journeys, research, innovations and leadership can inspire others and create new opportunities.
Self-nominations are welcome.
Incredible work deserves visibility.
Across India, thousands of women are making remarkable contributions to science, technology, engineering, medicine and research. Yet many remain unseen.
When women become more visible:
Students discover role models.
Journalists find experts.
Conference organisers identify speakers.
Institutions celebrate talent.
Companies find collaborators.
More opportunities reach deserving women.
Visibility creates opportunity.
The 100 Women in STEM initiative exists to make sure outstanding work doesn’t go unnoticed.
What is the 100 Women in STEM Initiative?
This is an ongoing initiative by Rukhmabai to identify, document and celebrate women making meaningful contributions across STEM.
Selected women will be featured on the Rukhmabai website through professionally curated profiles that highlight:
- Their work and expertise
- Their journey into STEM

- Advice and inspiration for future generations
Over time, this will grow into a national platform showcasing women across disciplines, institutions and career stages.
Who Can Be Nominated?
We welcome nominations of women across all STEM disciplines, including:
We encourage nominations across career stages:
You don’t have to be famous to be featured. If your work is making a meaningful contribution, we’d love to hear your story.
Self-Nominations are Welcome
One of the biggest barriers to visibility is waiting for someone else to recognise your work. We believe it’s perfectly okay to tell your own story.
If you’re proud of the work you’re doing in STEM, we’d love to hear from you.
